Engineering considerations
- Geotechnical report, groundwater and nearby structures.
- Approved design, access and working-platform requirements.
- Installation records, inspection and specified acceptance tests.

HOW IT WORKS
Establish the grid and selected wet or dry installation method.
Place aggregate and compact in controlled stages.
Review depth and aggregate records and complete specified verification tests.
APPLICATION & ENGINEERING
Compacted aggregate columns reinforce suitable weak soils. They are distinct from concrete rigid inclusions; soil suitability and settlement performance govern selection.
TECHNICAL SERVICE GUIDE
Vibro replacement installs compacted aggregate columns to improve suitable weak ground. Design addresses bearing resistance, total and differential settlement, and the soil confinement needed for column performance; it is not the same process as sand vibrocompaction.
The ground investigation, groundwater conditions and structural requirements inform method selection. Working access, installation sequence and effects on neighbouring structures are reviewed before execution.
Record column locations, penetration depth and aggregate consumption. Confirm treatment performance using the specified trials, load tests or ground investigation checks.
FROM SITE DATA TO A TECHNICAL PROPOSAL
Share the site location, geotechnical report, structural loads or excavation requirements, drawings and target programme. These inputs allow the engineering team to assess method suitability, equipment access, installation sequence and the required verification plan.
