Engineering considerations
- Geotechnical report, groundwater and nearby structures.
- Approved design, access and working-platform requirements.
- Installation records, inspection and specified acceptance tests.

HOW IT WORKS
Set out pile positions and install the wall to the approved design.
Coordinate excavation lifts with the specified supports and groundwater controls.
Review installation records and the specified monitoring results.
APPLICATION & ENGINEERING
Contiguous piles have small gaps between adjacent piles. They differ from overlapping secant piles; groundwater control and any infill are assessed separately.
TECHNICAL SERVICE GUIDE
Contiguous pile walls retain excavation faces using closely spaced bored piles. Gaps remain between the piles, so the wall does not inherently form a groundwater cutoff. Movement limits and temporary support levels must be assessed together.
The ground investigation, groundwater conditions and structural requirements inform method selection. Working access, installation sequence and effects on neighbouring structures are reviewed before execution.
Check pile positions, diameters and verticality, then coordinate excavation stages with supports or anchors. Monitor wall movement and adjacent structures where required.
FROM SITE DATA TO A TECHNICAL PROPOSAL
Share the site location, geotechnical report, structural loads or excavation requirements, drawings and target programme. These inputs allow the engineering team to assess method suitability, equipment access, installation sequence and the required verification plan.
