Engineering considerations
- Geotechnical report, groundwater and nearby structures.
- Approved design, access and working-platform requirements.
- Installation records, inspection and specified acceptance tests.

HOW IT WORKS
Drill with casing or support fluid where required; inspect the bore and clean the base.
Lower the reinforcement cage and place concrete by the approved method, including tremie placement where required.
Maintain installation records and complete specified integrity and load tests.
APPLICATION & ENGINEERING
Reinforced concrete shafts transfer loads to the surrounding ground and bearing strata. Bore support, base cleaning and continuous concrete placement are central construction controls.
TECHNICAL SERVICE GUIDE
Bored piles suit projects that need reinforced concrete foundations transferring structural loads into deeper ground. Diameter, toe level and reinforcement follow the ground investigation and structural design; access and bore stability govern the construction sequence.
The ground investigation, groundwater conditions and structural requirements inform method selection. Working access, installation sequence and effects on neighbouring structures are reviewed before execution.
Review bore logs, base cleanliness, reinforcement position and concrete placement records. Integrity and load tests are selected by the project specification; neither test replaces the other.
FROM SITE DATA TO A TECHNICAL PROPOSAL
Share the site location, geotechnical report, structural loads or excavation requirements, drawings and target programme. These inputs allow the engineering team to assess method suitability, equipment access, installation sequence and the required verification plan.
